Andy is a Fellow Chartered Accountant who joined Synairgen in November 2023 as Financial Controller. Having qualified as a Chartered Accountant in audit practice in 2009, Andy has since held senior finance roles in various industries including early-stage life sciences, logistics, manufacturing and automotive leasing.

Dr. Mark Parry-Billings joined Synairgen in October 2024 as Chairman 
of the Board of Directors. Mark is an accomplished international biotech
 and pharmaceutical executive with a successful track record of more 
than 30 years in leadership and senior R&amp;D roles. Most recently, he 
served as Global Head of Drug Development at Chiesi. Prior to this, he 
served as CEO of Topigen Pharmaceuticals until its acquisition by 
Pharmaxis in 2010. Mark has deep expertise in respiratory therapeutics 
and drug delivery to the lungs, having led multiple novel assets from 
early stage through clinical development to market approval, with a 
primary focus on inhaled drug delivery.

Mark Parry-Billings

Dr. Mark Parry-Billings joined Synairgen in October 2024 as Chairman of the Board of Directors. Mark is an accomplished international biotech and pharmaceutical executive with a successful track record of more than 30 years in leadership and senior R&amp;D roles. Most recently, he served as Global Head of Drug Development at Chiesi. Prior to this, he served as CEO of Topigen Pharmaceuticals until its acquisition by Pharmaxis in 2010. Joseph Colliver joined the business as Chief Financial Officer in October 2023. Joseph is a Fellow Chartered Accountant with listed company, finance, commercial and consulting experience. Prior to Synairgen, he held positions as executive and non-executive directors of listed early-stage life sciences companies, where Joseph led financial reporting, M&amp;A, strategy, and regulatory / corporate governance. Prior to this, Joseph spent ten years in senior leadership roles in the Kantar division of WPP PLC, including CFO at Kantar Futures, and Global Commercial Director of TNS, a multi-billion-dollar global market research agency. Joseph qualified as a chartered Accountant in the audit practice of Mazars LLP.

Joseph Colliver

Joseph Colliver joined the business as Chief Financial Officer in October 2023. Joseph is a Fellow Chartered Accountant with listed company, finance, commercial and consulting experience. Prior to Synairgen,
 he held positions as executive and non-executive directors of listed 
early-stage life sciences companies, where Joseph led financial 
reporting, M&amp;A, strategy, and regulatory / corporate governance. 
Prior to this, Joseph spent ten years in senior leadership roles in the 
Kantar division of WPP PLC, including CFO at Kantar Futures, and Global 
Commercial Director of TNS, a multi-billion-dollar global market 
research agency. Joseph qualified as a chartered Accountant in the audit
 practice of Mazars LLP.

Dr Marcin Mankowski was appointed Chief Medical Officer at Synairgen in October 2023. He is an experienced pharmaceutical physician and drug developer with 27 years of pharmaceutical industry experience. Marcin has been a consultant to Synairgen since 2018 in a part-time capacity, latterly as acting CMO. Marcin graduated from the Medical University in Warsaw, where he worked for several years in pneumonology and infectious diseases departments. During his career, he held several positions at at big pharma and biotech companies and was also a co-founder of tranScrip, a leading drug development consulting firm. He has been involved in the development of many anti-infective and respiratory products and has broad experience in the design and management of clinical studies, interactions with regulatory authorities as well as bringing drugs to the market.

Dr Marcin Mankowski

Dr Flic Gabbay is an independent non-executive director and Chair of the Remuneration Committee of Synairgen, joining the Board in September 2022. Flic has extensive experience within the life sciences sector including holding several senior and CEO positions in big pharma, biotech and CROs in both Europe and North America. As Founder and Managing Partner at TranScrip LLP, founded in 2008, she has overseen drug development work with companies at all stages of the drug development cycle, as well as securing private equity investment and the acquisition of Real Regulatory.
Starting her career as a medical doctor, Flic held various medical posts across Europe before moving into the biotechnology sector. She is the current President of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine for the Royal Colleges of Physicians.
In 2020, Flic was awarded the Fellowship of the Academy of Medical Science and is passionate about bringing pharmaceutical medicine into mainstream medical science and its application to public health.
She completed a BSc in Pharmacology and a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery degree at the University of Manchester.

Dr Flic Gabbay

Richard Marsden joined Synairgen in a consulting role as General Manager in November 2003, was appointed to the Board as Managing Director in June 2004 and was appointed Chief Executive Officer in September 2009. Between 1998 and 2003 he worked as Projects Manager and Cystic Fibrosis Business Development Manager at Profile Therapeutics plc, where he managed the Cystic Fibrosis business and played a major role in the development of its proprietary pharmaceutical unit, Profile Pharma Limited. Prior to this, he worked for Zimmer Limited, Genentech (UK) Limited and Roche Products Limited.

Richard Marsden

Jody Brookes joined Synairgen as a Clinical Research Nurse in 2004 and was appointed as Head of Clinical Operations in December 2011. Jody has led Synairgen’s clinical trial activity during this time. Prior to joining Synairgen, she worked as a Clinical Research Nurse specialising in Respiratory trials at the University of Southampton, working on both commercial and non-commercial trials.
