Biobank
Synairgen collects samples from carefully selected and clinically-characterised volunteers and is continually adding to its Biobank of blood, sputum, biopsies, fibroblast and epithelial cells from these volunteers.

Subjects are recruited from the following groups:

Asthma
Age-matched volunteers (age range 18-70)
  • Mild
  • Moderate
  • Severe
  • Healthy controls (non-atopic and atopic)
 
Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
Age-matched volunteers (age range 40-75 years)
  • COPD
  • Smokers without COPD
  • Healthy non-smokers
  • Healthy controls (non-atopic)
